My name is Jason and I am the proud owner of a new local company in the Puget Sound area called All-Shield Pest Control and Crawlspaces. I'm also a proud Military Veteran with an Honorable Discharge. I'm somebody who has always taken pride in my work, and I've always wanted my own business once I found the right job. I got into pest control in 2018. I enjoy my job since I get to meet new people every day and try to help solve their pest problems and bring some much-needed relief into their lives. I worked for a big company and didn't like how it was more about the numbers. In pest control time does equal quality. The more time I have with the client the more I can achieve for them. With the bigger company I was on time restraints because I always need to do the work quick and move on to the next client. This is one of the biggest reasons I am happy to move on, so I can give clients the time they deserve for me to conduct proper quality work. When it comes to pest control, it's about realistic expectations. The truth is some pest issues are not always simple; that's why I will never tell you something to just make a sale. That won't do me any good and give my business a creditable reputation. I am here to serve and help you to my best and honest abilities, to give the best service I can provide. That's why I feel it's important to set a new standard for paying customers who deserve better quality service. I'm just informing you that my company is here to provide that type of service and would love to assist you with your pest needs. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We schedule a day/time with the customer. We try to get out as quickly as possible especially if the matter is urgent. Once at the home we perform a full inspection around the home, as well as the Crawlspace and attic if accessible. We will report to you our findings and quote you on any additional services we can do for you. Build a crawlspace door, replace crawlspace vents, or seal off other access points like pipes. We are usually willing and able to conduct work right after the inspection so you don't need to wait even longer to remediate the problem. We offer ongoing services as well and will quote you prices for Monthly, Bi-monthly, or Quarterly services. Depending on the severity of the problem we will recommend to you a plan that best suits your needs of staying pest free.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've been in the Pest Control industry since 2018. I've had great trainers and mentors throughout my career. I've taken many hours of online classes and studied for tests to become a Licensed technician and applicator.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've had lots of jobs throughout my life. Military, Semi truck driver, office and Alarm monitoring, other small jobs. I've had my fair share of bad luck with employers. I was just looking for a job and decided to apply for a couple exterminator companies not knowing if I would even hear back. The regional manager called me with enthusiasm and couldn't wait to hire me. I agree that it's an interesting profession to land in but it's been very rewarding helping people with their pest concerns. I personally never thought about it because I've been fortunate enough to not have any pest issues so I wasn't aware of how beneficial the services are to people. After working for the company for 3 years, I decided to branch out on my own. Never thought I would be doing this before applying but I am more than happy I did and it's a very rewarding business.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All types Residential - old or new Commerical - All types - Hospitals, Grocery stores, Gas stations, Hotels, Restaurants, Offices, Shops, Warehouse - Customers that deal with Ants Bed Bugs Beetles Box Elder Beetles Cockroaches Earwigs/Pincher bugs Flies Rodents - Rats and Mice Spiders Stink Bugs Termites Wasps and or Hornets other pests as well. ask Crawlspace or attic clean-out Insulation and vapor barrier replacement Exclusion work - Block rodent entry points. Build Crawlspace door, Replace crawlspace vents, Seal off gaps around pipes.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

2 of my clients used to be overrun with Sugar Ants and had them in every room in the house. They tried a million different home remedies and over the counter products with little to no success. The ants are bad there and require a monthly service to stay on top of. Every time I stop by they tell me how happy they are to be Ant free as it causes them tons of anxiety and stress. These are just 2 people among many. I have so many happy clients that are very appreciative of the services I provide and it's a very rewarding feeling to know that they are that happy with my services.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Soo.. I understand bargain shopping. But you ever hear you get what you pay for? Same concept. Just because a company can do the work for the best price, doesn't mean you'll get the best techs or even the best services. Realistically it might be hard to find a good service provider as so many techs are inexperienced and might not have the knowledge to remediate your problem. Bigger companies might send out a different tech each time they service your home so you can't even get used to one person providing the service. You are a number in their system and they want to hurry up with your service as quickly as possible so they can get to the next house. This is something that I know separates my company from the rest. I want your home to be taken care of properly so that you can be pest and stress free.
