Introduction

I am a owner operated business, and I’ve taken training on all aspects of restoration of floor coverings. This is a three step process of vacuuming, shampoo scrub, and steam cleaning. All fiber rinse is safe for all carpets and upholstery. Also, we do tile and wood floor cleaning and sealing. However I need to see the floor to determine the material it is made of in order to give you a price. I can not guarantee that all stains can be removed by cleaning.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Not all spots are removable by cleaning. Some spots are permanent stains others can be ironed out or patched. Ironing or patching stains would be an extra charge for the extra time, material, and labor.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I need to determine if you need me to prevacuum or will you do that before I arrive.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have my training mostly from The Institute of cleaning and Restoration. Also, the Costa Group for carpet repairs. I've had training in upholstery cleaning, rug cleaning, tile cleaning, wood floor restoration.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

When I finished my associates degree in Retail business, I decided to start a service business.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I started in 1990 doing mostly residential cleaning. These days I do residential and commercial.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Last week I did a job that was both carpet cleaning and vinyl floor cleaning. They both turned out great. It took about an hour.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Vacuuming is the first step to cleaning any floor covering. Most of my customers vacuum before I arrive.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Dry time average is about three to six hours depending on air humidity. Turn on the central air to shorten dry time. Do you need furniture moving? I will charge extra for moving large furniture. Small items I move for free. On wet days, I'll bring fans.
