What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer a price match when the client sends us the competitors quote and information.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have an undergraduate degree in art history and mixed media. I also have a masters degree in sculpture. Coupled with 15 years of experience.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Before I started dusty trails carpentry I worked in art gallery’s and museums on the east and west coast as a fabricator, art installer and logistics manager. When the pandemic closed everything down I lost my job, like many of us. I had a bunch of tools and knowledge and began renovating my home. A neighbor asked if I would build him a fence. And the business took off from there.

We work with all types of clients and budgets.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

80% of our projects take 1-14 days to complete. The other 20% of our projects are 3-5 week projects.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Shop around and make sure you get written quotes.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Consider the approximate square footage (length x width) for projects like pergolas decks and stain jobs. Consider the approximate linear footage for projects like fencing. Gates will wear quicker than the rest of your fence (depending on usage) and will need periodic adjustments.
