Introduction

Our mission at Driveway Masters has always been to provide our clients with the highest possible quality concrete and paver installation services for their homes and businesses at the most reasonable prices. In fact, we believe in the philosophy of giving more than the customer expects. This comes in the form of a cleaner work area than we found it, testing and repairing irrigation systems prior to installing concrete or other “hard” features to providing conduits under logical concrete slabs and walks for future water, electrical or other needs. We start and finish one job at a time to minimize the construction time and unnecessary costs on each project. Also, with the owner, Mike Santuci, directly involved with each project, this helps with the efficiency of the job and shorter build times as well. We know it can be daunting to decide on which contractor to trust to install your driveway, patio or other feature for your home that you will spend many years enjoying. That is why we come to you with over 28 years of experience and a long trail of happy customers to share with you. So call today and talk directly with Mike. He will meet with you at your convenience to discuss your project and, in most cases, provide you with a written quote right on the spot……no waiting for your bid! If you are unsure of what you want, he can offer design ideas free of charge at your initial appointment. There is a difference in contractors. Choose wisely! Give us the opportunity to show you how we earn our clients business for life! Call today!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing is extremely competitive among licensed and insured contractors. In fact, many unlicensed guys have trouble offering a better value than we do. Our strategy has always been to offer the highest level of quality at a reasonable price.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start with a simple phone call to introduce ourselves and get a little more information about the project to make sure it is a good fit for what we offer. Then we arrange for a job-site visit to get all the details necessary to quote the job. This includes plenty of time for you, the customer, to ask any questions about your project you may not be sure about or to simply know what your options are. A reliable "quote", not an "estimate", is provided via email within a day on most projects. Once accepted, we schedule you according to our next available opening or at your convenience. All that is left is installing your project and leaving you to enjoy it!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I received my construction management as well as skills training in the construction program at Fullerton College. The real training that sets me and my company apart comes from over 35 years in this business constantly perfecting my craft and a work ethic that was instilled in me as a kid growing up with parents that set an amazing example. My drive and determination secured me 4 contractor licenses including the A-Engineering, B-General Building, C-8 concrete and C-29 masonry licenses. My passion early on guided me more towards the concrete and masonry side of contracting but my strong general knowledge across most trades allows me to provide my customers with a more well-thought out project.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started this type of work fresh out of high school to pay my way through college. I was on a different path in school initially but I was really good at it early on and quickly shifted gears.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I can't think of a type of customer that I haven't worked with. Largely homeowners, realtors, property managers and directly with businesses to repair or improve their properties.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I do a lot of concrete and pavers with all types of block and brick work. The average residential driveway takes me 2 days and the average paver project takes 4-5 days depending on its size. Naturally, projects of different sizes and complexity will have their own time requirements and those will be discussed up front.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
A license is critical! That alone doesn't guarantee a good experience, however. Talk to however many contractors you need to get an education about what your project needs. You will get a strong sense of which companies know what they are doing and are likely to do everything they commit to. Listen to your senses as well. Price is important but its very important to qualify a company first. Once they make the list, the choice is yours.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Are you Licensed? Ask for proof (a certificate or visit cslb.ca.gov and follow the links to verify your contractor) of worker's compensation insurance. And, no, it's not legal if they tell you "I'm using my cousins number"! You should feel comfortable asking any question about your project you are unsure of and don't be afraid to test the company on their knowledge and compare their approach to their competitors.
