Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Prices do fluctuate from time to time (pending demand and season) and we are open to matching other offers if offers are realistic in price to scope.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Immediate communication, we want to cater to the customers design ideas and needs and work on their time table while giving an accurate one as best we can for start to finish. Communication is key with DHR.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
His technical skill and range is pro as he has been doing this for many decades with a wide range of jobs: cabinets, new room addition, exterior structure builds, quartz/counters, woodworking of all types, tile, electrical, etc. Ismael has been doing this since he was a boy learning from his father.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Our team lead, Ismael, grew up handcrafting cabinets and working with wood since he was a kid following his father's business until he branched off and started DHR with the rest of the team.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have worked with some large commercial corporations and apartment buildings as well as many houses throughout SoCal to independent owners.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently built an exterior fire pit that has a float in the sky feel with underbelly lighting. We hand crafted it specifically for a designed size of space to meet the clients needs and connected a natural gas line before laying the cement. You can see that in the photos. It's a pure white with a nice solar powered night time glow that kicks on when it gets dark.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Just make sure you know what you're getting. Communication is everything and confirming you and the vendor are on the same page is most important. We don't get every job - that is normal business. Just make sure the "cheaper" jobs you go with are the quality you think you're getting before you get it. Too many companies doing inaccurate work which is why we want to prioritize making sure we're on the same page before we start.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What is your budget? What is your time table? Are you wanting an "all in" price (labor and material) or do you want to buy all the material and pay labor only. What does a daily/weekly work schedule look like? What days can we work vs not work? Weekends? Hours start/stop?
