My name is Neal Sherman of Sherman Flooring and I have over 42 years of experience through wood floor repair, refinishing, and installation of pre-finish and unfinished wood floors. The gratification I get from customers seeing them happy when their floors are finished are exactly why I got into this line of work. I cant even begin to describe the feeling of seeing a customers face once they see the transformation of the hardwood floors or stairs in their home. My number one goal is to help you with all your project needs, as I strive to provide 100% satisfaction for all our customers through quality that cannot be matched. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I make it a point to take the time to price per job. Many things get taken into consideration before I am able to give a price. Such as: Square footage, type of hardwood, how dark the stain you would like, finishes, ect. I offer a senior and veterans discount. Please contact to discuss the discounted amount. For my clients convenience I accept cash and check.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I am honest and walk my potential clients through the process from start to finish to ensure that you understand what you are paying for and what to expect.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been in this industry since I was a teenager so around 38 years of hands on experience.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My family has been my main driver for starting me in this line of work.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I think the better question is "What kind of customers I have not worked with?"

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I hold all of my projects to the same standard. At the time of taking on a project it is my main focus to ensure quality. So none of the jobs stand out since that is frequently changing!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A project that is done with quality is taken care of with the proper amount of time, is a job well done. I encourage all of my potential clients to screen potential hires to ensure that quality is their number one.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

How environmentally safe are the wood floor of their choice? Do they help with allergies, asthma and other health issues? That wood floors do not actually make the house cold but do the opposite! They help insulate your home through the wonder of nature.
