Introduction

Welcome to Joseph Handyman LLC. After working for a nationally established Handyman franchise for years, I'm excited to offer the same level of professional service with a more personal touch. I think that we live in a world that in many ways is overly commercialized, where we are losing the sense of personal contact and service that was the hallmark of the past. This is why I have started off on my own -- I want to structure my business around the personal needs of customers, and around the needs of my own family. Last year alone I was awarded twice by my company for perfect customer satisfaction, and now I will be offering this same great service to you. My experience has gone back all the way to 1998 when I started working in the maintence departedment of the college I attended. Since then I have had worked professionally as a trim carpenter, framer, and in the remodeling field, taking many opportunities for professional training. I and my family appreciate deeply the chance to grow my business with the projects you have, giving you the stellar results that will make you a customer for life!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Most people want an estimate so they can budget correctly. I am more than happy to provide an estimate, and am very flexible when we need to change things. Some more unusual projects may be charged by the hour. I do have a minimum charge of $150.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I will come to your house our store, and personally go over your project. I will come in a clearly marked van, and take the measurements and pictures needed for an estimate, or begin work immediately after reviewing your needs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Profesional employment as a Trim Carpenter, Tile Installer, Maintenance Provider, Remodeler, Handyman starting all the way back in 1998.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Started off working for maintenance for a college, and friends and family kept asking for help with their own projects. I was eager to explore different aspects of construction, learning from and working for experienced professionals. Always be willing to learn something new!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with home owners, friends, family, business owners and managers. I have enjoyed working for those new Americans who have moved to our country, especially among the French speaking community! Thank you for your patience with my limited French!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Just finished a crown molding installation in Florence. Owner had crown molding missing from side of cabinet and could not get any more. So using smaller different types of trim I recreated the missing peice, and had the challenge of joining it to some larger crown I installed. Owner was amazed!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for somebody who not only has experience, but also somebody who is resourcefull, who can suggest different ways to solve a problem or make improvements. Look for a professional who can give you complete personal service: who does the work, and answers the phone!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
How flexible are you on the time you need your project done? Do you have special concerns that a professional needs to be aware of? Do you already have materials that you would like used? Is this project weather sensitive? If you are a tenant, do you have authorization for this project? Does your project conform to covenants or HOA requirements? Do you have other projects you want us to look at?
