Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our prices are very competitive and are not at the top end like other companies similar to ours. We like to keep our prices and our customers both satisfied and fair.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The duration of a project depends on its size and complexity. Most jobs are completed in a very timely manner, but we will provide a detailed timeline during your initial consultation.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
In addition to our education, we completed on-the-job training in (carpentry, electrical, plumbing), etc., which allowed us to develop practical skills and a deep understanding of renovation work. Over the years, we’ve continued our professional development through workshops and certifications in areas such as energy efficiency, green building practices, and design trends. This combination of classroom learning and field experience enables me to manage remodeling projects from concept to completion with both creativity and technical accuracy

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
We got started in residential remodeling through a genuine passion for building and transforming spaces. Early on, we found ourselves drawn to how homes could be reimagined to better suit the people living in them. Whether it was helping family with small renovation projects or experimenting with design ideas in our own space, we knew this was something we wanted to pursue professionally. We began by working as a helper/apprentice under experienced contractors by flipping houses or taking on small remodeling projects for friends and neighbors, and over time, we built up our skills and confidence. That hands-on experience, paired with ongoing training and a commitment to learning new techniques, laid the foundation for our work today.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
First-Time Homeowners, growing families, empty nesters, retirees, design-focused homeowners, property investors that want to do flips and build a rental portfolio and DIYers who get stuck and need help. We have also worked as sub-contractors for large commercial projects, which increased our experience on handling large jobs.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We just did a renovation for a investor that wanted to do a flip. We gutted the entire property because all the electrical, plumbing were not up to code. We also added an additional bathroom to the master suite, finished an open basement and built a new deck. The investor flipped it and made a substantial profit. We are currently working with the same investor to do another project and have received referrals from other investors who want to do the same.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Great question—hiring the right pro can make or break your remodeling experience. Here's some real-talk advice I’d give to any homeowner: 1) Don’t Just Go with the Cheapest Bid, it's that for a reason 2) Ask for Portfolio & Reference 3) Make Sure They're Licensed & Insured 4) Get a Detailed Written Contract 5) Check Their Communication Style 6) Be Clear on Your Budget (and Set Aside a Cushion) 7) Ask How They Handle Problems

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What’s my goal for this space? (More storage? Better flow? A fresh look? All of the above?) How long do I plan to stay in this home? (This helps balance resale value vs. personal taste.) What’s my all-in budget, including a cushion for surprises? (Be honest with yourself—this helps the pro guide your decisions.) What do I like or dislike about the current space? (Making a list—this helps guide design priorities.) Are there specific features or styles I really want? (Pinterest boards or saved Instagram posts help a ton.) Do I need the layout changed, or is it mostly surface updates? (Layout changes = more time and money.) Will I be living in the house during the remodel? (Some projects are doable with you at home, others… not so much.) Do I have any must-hit deadlines? (Like a baby on the way, holiday hosting, or school schedules.) Who will be the main decision-maker in the household? (Contractors appreciate clear, timely decisions keep the timeline moving.)
