What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We cannot emphasize how important it is for the homeowner to make sure they are hiring a company with workers comp and liability insurance. Some companies keep costs low by not carrying these insurances, so the homeowner is left fully responsible if anyone gets hurt at their house during the project.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When someone books an estimate appointment request, we set up a date and time that works for all parties. Then, a formal written quote is emailed within 1 week after the estimate appointment. If the customer chooses to schedule a start date, we work with them to find a date that works for all parties. Upon scheduling a start date, a formal contract is mailed to the homeowner.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Justin has 20+ years experience with hardwood floors. Also, all of our crew members are hired with previous flooring experience.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We typically work with customers that understand the value of quality work, and many have experience hiring contractors. They understand that the reputation of the company they hire is more important than simply the cost of work. They do their research about each company before hiring. We are often called to fix other companies work, because the customer decided to go with the cheaper estimate instead of researching company reviews prior to making a hiring decision. We are often one of the higher quotes because we do things right the first time, are fully insured, and have an excellent reputation that we work hard to maintain by providing excellent customer service.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Typical timeline for basic refinish is 5 days: Day 1- Sanding/staining Day 2- Sanding/staining/filling and 1st coat of polyurethane Day 3- 2nd coat of polyurethane Day 4- 3rd coat of polyurethane Day 5- Walk on floors Note: removal of old flooring and installation of new flooring will take additional days to compete.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Read company reviews. When hiring any skilled tradesman for home improvement, the best thing you can do is research the company first. We have had numerous calls to come fix another flooring contractors work. Sometimes we have to finish a project someone started and other times we have to completely re-do a project. We understand that sometimes it seems like a better financial decision to hire the least expensive contractor, but we have found you have to pay for it twice because it wasn't done right the first time. Again, hiring a company with verified reviews solves this problem.
