Meet to look at the job. Email an estimate and ask for between 40-50% up front depending on material costs.

One year at Thaddeus Stevens and numerous jobs growing up with family.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Home remodeling goes back generations in my family. My great grandfather was a hardwood floor man. My grandfather was a carpenter as well as my uncle. I grew up around it and went to Thaddeus Stevens for one year in the carpentry program

What types of customers have you worked with?

I’ve worked with a wide array of customers. From people that stood in the room while I was working to people who I did work for while they were at the shore. I’m fair and friendly with all people who I work with and/or for

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

My most recent project has been one of the more challenging ones, which I like. It forced me to think outside the box and get creative in the layout of the bathroom wall and floor. There is a preexisting radiator the homeowner wanted to stay in the same spot so it led to a lot of packing out and and figuring out angles for custom built niches used for showering supplies.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Take your time and get a couple estimates

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

If there is one thing I know through experience, it usually doesn’t matter how much a customer thinks about a project, here is always going to be new ideas as it’s being constructed. So my advice is this. It’s yours and you will be looking at it everyday. So we want to make it whichever way will make you happy.
