What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer honest, upfront pricing which typically includes all services and materials required to complete the project. Since there are many variables in any flooring project, we customize each project to meet our customer's individual needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We will first discuss the details of the project over the phone, then arrange for a free in-home design consultation where we bring our mobile flooring showroom stocked with over 3,000 samples. We will measure the rooms included in the project and provide pricing with a detailed proposal either on the spot or within 24 hours of meeting.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We have experience with different aspects of the design industry for 15+ years. To supplement our experience, we spend considerable time training to each year to keep up with industry developments and best practices. And, our installers are all seasoned professionals who have been active in their trade for many years.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Residential and Commercial, large and small projects.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We recently helped a retired single woman to transform her second floor and stairway from carpet and another type of hardwood that didn't match her downstairs Oak hardwoods, to a new solid Oak staircase and engineered Oak hardwoods that will match her first floor once we refinish it later. She needed to live in the home during the project, so we started with the two secondary bedrooms and hallway and then moved on to the Master Bedroom once we completed those rooms and moved her bed into the other room for a few nights. In all, the project took one week and the follow up work will take a couple of days whenever she is ready.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do your homework to look into the company you're considering hiring and how they take care of their customers. Make sure the person who you hire will be available and involved in your project throughout the entire process. Errors happen most frequently when project ownership shifts thru series of people, none of whom have total responsibility or oversight.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Make sure you are prepared with questions about how the process will go both before and during the project and how it will impact your life. I consider flooring projects to be a joint venture between the customer and the contractor, where each has their own responsibilities so defining exactly what those are and who is responsible is critical to having a great experience.
