What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We provide a complete, itemized and transparent quote for every job. It's important to know that the cost of materials is only a portion, at most 1/2, of the total cost of the job. We offer seasonal discounts on certain products, and those may change from time to time. We work with all major flooring manufacturers and with the buying power of a national brand, our prices are often same or less than what is offered for similar products at big retailers.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We schedule a free in-home consultation, bringing our mobile showroom to the customer's home, so they can choose from 3000 different samples, and consider the best ones in their own homes, with their colors, furniture and lighting. On the spot we issue a complete and transparent proposal, itemizing every need related to their removal, installation and finishing work.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We are licensed general contractors. Our company, Floor Coverings International, provides extensive training across all product categories, as well as supporting material that is available to our clients.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We loved replacing all carpet and older laminate flooring with beautiful hardwood floors for the Rangel family in Woodinville just in time for their family to visit for their son's high school graduation.

- Make sure your provider is licensed for the services you need - Compare apples to apples: every job is a combination of materials, services, underlayments, installation and finishes. - Understand the manufacturer warranty provided with each product and what you have to do to maintain the warranty after installation
