What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial Consultation:
We begin with an initial consultation to understand the customer's event details, preferences, and expectations. This can be done in over the phone, or via email.
Needs Assessment:
We ask questions to determine the type of event, number of guests, dietary preferences, and any specific menu ideas. We also discuss the event's location and logistics.
Custom Menu Development:
Based on the customer's input, we create a customized menu that aligns with their vision, incorporating their preferred cuisines and dishes. We also consider dietary restrictions.
Budget Discussion:
We work with the customer to establish a budget that fits their needs and provide transparent pricing information.
Tastings (Optional):
If desired and for a small tasting fee, we arrange tastings to allow the customer to sample menu items and make any necessary adjustments.
Contract and Agreement:
We present a clear contract that outlines the terms, services, payment schedule, and cancellation policy. Once agreed upon, both parties sign the contract.
Event Planning and Coordination:
We collaborate with the customer to plan the event's schedule, logistics, and any additional services required, such as staffing or equipment rentals.
Execution:
On the event day, our team arrives at the venue, sets up, and ensures that the culinary experience is seamless and satisfying for the guests.
Quality Service:
Throughout the event, we maintain a high standard of service, providing delicious food and addressing any last-minute adjustments or special requests.
Post-Event Feedback:
After the event, we welcome feedback from the customer to assess their satisfaction and gather insights for improvement.
Follow-Up:
We maintain communication with the customer to address any follow-up needs, such as billing inquiries or post-event services.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a Certified Personal Chef, and I've been fortunate to accumulate over 15 years of experience in commercial catering. Much of my journey has been shaped by my time working at a 5-star Luxury Resort, where I had the privilege of serving in the Banquet/Catering department.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My grandmother, mother, and father played pivotal roles in guiding me towards a career in the culinary arts. Their collective encouragement has been a source of immeasurable gratitude, and I'm indebted to them for the path I now walk. To honor my father's significant influence, I've named my company after his affectionate nickname, 'Papi.' With each meal I create, I cook as though it were for them, a heartfelt tribute to the values and traditions they instilled in me.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We're up for some culinary fun wherever you like! Be it your cozy home, an office get-together, or any spot you've got in mind, we've got you covered. We'll bring the deliciousness to you, no sweat!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
In the span of just a few months, we had the honor of curating an intimate wedding feast for 50 guests. Nestled under the shade of swaying trees, this celebration unfolded with meticulous planning and execution. The menu, a personal reflection of the couple's journey, featured handcrafted appetizers, custom cocktails, and locally inspired entrees. Side dishes celebrated growth, and desserts reflected shared dreams. Our dedicated team ensured that every detail was perfect, making it a day of heartfelt toasts, loving embraces, and sumptuous food, all within the time frame of just a few months.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When seeking a provider in our field, it's essential to find a company or chef who prioritizes your desires and requirements over mere financial transactions.
The pivotal quality you should look for in a caterer or chef is their capacity to be adaptable and genuinely responsive to your unique needs. Too often, the industry tends to rely on one-size-fits-all 'Silver,' 'Gold,' or 'Platinum' menus, which might not suit your specific vision.
Therefore, I'd recommend selecting a professional who demonstrates a sincere commitment to tailoring their services to your preferences. The ability to craft a truly personalized culinary experience is what sets the best providers apart from the rest.
