What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Landscape plantings and materials pricing varies based on plant size and the size of the job (number of each plant). As more plants of each variety, more cubic yards of rock, and more cubic yards of mulch are purchased, we are given a larger wholesale discount, which we pass directly to our customer. We do not charge anything extra for plantings or materials, only for labor to install & to design it. Call anytime for a free consultation and written estimate.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When a customer calls, or we return a call about a lead, we schedule a consultation. During the consultation, the customer then tells us what they need on their property, and what their thoughts and preferences are. If the customer would prefer to be hands off, we will walk the property and provide suggestions based on the conditions of the landscape. Based on water, sun, and exposure we tailor a design or maintenance schedule for their property.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Florida friendly practices, University of Florida courses, extension courses, herbicide and pesticide courses and licensing. Tree Trimming licensed and insured.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Residential, Commercial, HOA, REO, Realtors, affiliated company referrals, home property management company's, contractors, etc.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Get three different quotes and question your landscapers. The most common mistake is to just hire the company that is mowing your lawn. Anyone can stick a plant into the soil but it takes a professional landscaper to diagnose sun and water exposure, and plant accordingly. While there are so many other important aspects of design and installation the simple mistakes are what kill your new plantings. Years of experience and academic knowledge are what provide the difference between gorgeous landscape installation and a mess of plants inappropriately spaced and planted with the wrong exposures.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Customers should consider what effect they are trying to gain, either curbside appeal, property value increase, or neat and tidiness. Also choosing a basic theme is incredibly helpful, be tropical, low maintenance, no maintenance, Tuscan themed with mostly green and meticulously trimmed plantings, oriental, flowering and exotics, French or English garden, etc.
