What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I typically charge per job and not by the hour. I have over 15 years of experience in landscaping and garden design. I was a landscaper/garden designer starting before college and after.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I am quick with communication and being attentive to customers needs and exceptions and I typically meet or exceeds this expectations regularly!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My 15+ years of experience and knowledge has been my greatest education and training.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I got started doing this type of work during my teenage years as a way to make extra money on the side. This work is not rocket science, it's manicuring lawns, working with nature, exceeding customers expectations, and providing great customer service. It's doing jobs that most people don't like doing.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with all types of customers. I've worked on landscaping job through the Atlanta Metropolitan area. I would say 95% of my customers are extremely pleased with my work and often recommend me to their peers. I am new to Thumbtack but not new to the landscaping industry.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A recent job I am fond of was mowing, trimming, and fertilizing a 1000 sq ft space. It took me 1.5 hours to accomplish this job. The customer was very fond of my work and really happy to see her lawn so vibrant and full of life this summer. It resembled the rich green that is common on a golf course.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be clear about the expectations and needs of the job and communicate those clearly. Be empowered to get great service, you're spending your money and you should be completely satisfied when your provider has complete the project.
