Introduction

I am a Landscaper, that does not have one set specialty. I can cut tree's, grind stumps, design. install and maintain flower beds or gardens. I install mulch or rock. Provide weed control and grass seeding. I am also a master gardener with a degree in landscape construction and design, and I carry an Illinois Applicator License so I can apply any chemicals needed to help the turf with weeds or to improve growth. I enjoy the fact that people are happy with the end results I provide them.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Stump grinding is based on the size of the stump. The way i Charge is by the cubic inch of the stump. I charge $4.00 per diameter inch for grinding. If the roots are on the surface of the soil that is an extra charge to chase all of them to remove them and that varies. If you would want me to clean up the grindings and plant grass seed. That would be an extra cost. This also depends on the size of the area. To Clean up the area I charge $6.00 an inch for grinding and clean up.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I will meet with a customer, and find out exactly what they are wanting. I will write down the information, if needed draw a design, and present it to the customer for approval. As installing take's place I will have the customer check things to make sure we are both on the same page.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a master gardener, I have a degree in Landscape construction and design. I am also a licensed Illinois applicator. Which means I can legally treat your lawn for weed control, and or animal issues. I am also an eagle scout.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always enjoyed working outside. I started taking care of plants, trees , and landscaping as a boy scout. When I went back to school to become a park Ranger I realized that I can use that schooling to help other people as well as helping mother nature.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I grind stumps since most people that cut trees do not have the ability to perform this task. I also spend a good part of my time Mowing grass and pulling weeds or aerating, the turf. I spend quite a bit of time building, and designing new landscaping. I provide regular care of flower beds and gardens if needed. It really depends on what time of year as to what I am doing the most of.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I have finished a large flower bed that took me almost two years to build. I took bare ground and turned it into a beautiful garden. As you can see from some of the pictures I have.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure the person is insured as a business you are wanting preformed. I have heard of people trying to pass car insurance as a business policy.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
That I am an Army veteran and with that being said it shows that I take great pride in everything that I do to help people. I work alone, so that I can give each job my complete attention until completion. Instead of having severl jobs goig at the same time. When I start a project i will work on it until the customer is satisfied. I may not be perfect but I will do my best to make you happy.
