What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have gained valuable hands-on experience by working many landscaping jobs over the years. Through real-world work with both residential and commercial properties, I’ve learned the ins and outs of proper mulch installation, yard cleanups, edging, and maintaining healthy, great-looking landscapes. Every job has helped sharpen my skills, and I bring that experience to every new project I take on.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
A few summers ago, I worked for my friend, which was a good experience where I learned a lot. I even made some friends there. But, I realized I wanted to be my own boss, so I started my business.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of customers, from local homeowners looking to improve their curb appeal to businesses like golf courses that require consistent, high-quality landscaping services. No matter the size of the project, we bring the same level of dedication, reliability, and attention to detail to every job.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One project I’m especially proud of was a full-yard mulch and landscape cleanup for a homeowner getting ready to sell their house. The yard needed a fresh look, so we trimmed overgrown bushes, edged the beds, and laid down high-quality mulch to really make the property pop. The whole job took about a day and a half, and the customer was thrilled with how clean and inviting everything looked. It was a great reminder of how much of a difference good landscaping can make.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring someone for landscaping or mulch work, make sure you choose a provider who’s not only skilled but also respectful—someone who treats your home or business like it’s their own. Look for someone who shows up on time, communicates clearly, and takes pride in doing quality work. A good landscaper isn’t just there to get the job done—they care about the details and making sure you’re happy with the results.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before talking to a landscaping professional, it’s a good idea to think through a few key questions:
What’s your budget? – Having a rough idea of what you're willing to spend helps guide the scope of the project.
What are your main goals? – Do you want a fresh layer of mulch, a full yard cleanup, or regular maintenance?
Do you have a timeline? – Knowing when you want the work done (especially before events or seasons) helps with scheduling.
What look are you going for? – Consider the style or feel you want—clean and simple, bold and colorful, etc.
Are there specific areas of concern? – Think about drainage issues, problem spots, or areas that need extra attention.
Thinking these through ahead of time helps make the conversation more productive and ensures we can deliver exactly what you’re looking for.
