Introduction

I have been a licensed contractor for more than 30 years. I have recently focused my professional talents to help the needs of the disabled and aging. I am a certified ' Environmental Access Consultant' and have my 'Certified Aging in Place' specialist from the National Association of Home Builders. I will work with you to help remove the barriers that are limiting your mobility and/or possibly going to create an accident. 'Building for Peoples Needs' Please...I don't do individual grab bars and ramps.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First we must do an evaluation of the client specific needs. From there we can create solutions for these issues that will make their daily activities easier.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Graduated from ASU with a BS in Construction. I have completed training in 'Aging in Place' by the National Association of Homebuilders. Alse received my 'certified aging in place' certificate

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was a general contractor when my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at 58. Three years later my father was diagnosed with ALS. Having to deal with both parents having disabilities and not being able to find services to take care of their needs made me realize that there are a lot of people that can use someone that understands them.

What types of customers have you worked with?

my customers range parents of children with disabilities to adults that are starting to have mobility issues

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

just finished a roll in shower for a client with severe arthritis. she now is able to have full use of the shower and told me 'it looks and feels like I am at a spa'

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

what is their background in ADA or 'Aging in place'
