Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing is based on the project. Projects have many different aspects to them that can and do affect the price of the project. We price each project independently based on what is discovered on the project site. Before we begin the process we will provide an estimate showing the scope of work and how much the project should cost. We do offer discounts for veterans and current military personnel. We will also offer monthly specials.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We meet with the client and discuss the project that they want completed. We discuss the process and how we are going to create what they want. We are here for our clients. We will answer any and all questions that they might have about the project. We want the process to go as smooth as possible.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
The training that we have received has been ongoing for over 20 years. One form of training that we like comes from "shadowing" another contractor that has successfully been completing projects in a certain field for many years. We also attend product demos from our local vendors.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
We got started in this business over 20 years ago. We started remodeling houses that we would flip back on the market for sale. When the market started to turn, we switched our focus to residential remodeling for clients. It's very rewarding seeing our client's face after we complete a project for them.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have worked with many different types of customers. We are certified to perform US Government contract. We have done work with many commercial entities, property management companies, Veteran Affairs (VA) and private home owners.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We remodeled a bathroom for veteran a couple years ago. We had to remove a corner garden tub and install a large walk-in shower. We were contacted to do this project because the client will eventually be wheel chair bound. After removing the corner garden tub we were able to locate a large 6x6 roll in shower pan. Large enough for him to get a wheelchair into and the shower The shower surround was covered with marble tiles. We also installed a new shower faucet that would allow the veteran to be able to bath himself without assistants others. The shower turned out great and he loves the shower to this day. The good news is that he is still able to walk into the shower and is not in a wheelchair.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure that the contractor is licensed to perform the work. Make sure that the contractor goes over what work is going to be done and that it is written down in the contract. Make sure you understand the contract. Clients should always look to see if the professional, doing the work, is a licensed contractor through the local state governing board. For the state of Arizona it's easy process to do. Go to azroc.gov and you can search for there credentials through this web site. It also will show if they have had any complaints filed against them for work that they did poorly or incorrectly.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Do some research on the project you want completed. A great way to get ideas for a certain project is Pinterest. It's full of great design ideas with full color pictures. Sometimes it will have links for more information about that certain post.
