Introduction

Garcia Tile is a licensed C54 tile contractor — true tile specialists, not general contractors passing the job off to someone else. We’re licensed by the California State License Board and certified pros who do the work ourselves, with skill and pride, because this is our trade. With years of hands-on experience, we deliver quality craftsmanship you can count on. When you hire us, you’re getting pros who know tile inside and out — no shortcuts, no guesswork, just solid results done right.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We offer 10% Military Discount for Active Duty, Reserves and Veterans. Our prices are set in stone when we give them to you but may be negotiated. We don’t upsell material or tile. You buy it, we install it. Simple as that.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Getting to know the customer and their expectations is a great start for us. We initially would like to walk the job, attain measurements and provide accurate estimates as soon as we close off. Finding your creative vision and financial budget is important to us. Executing that effectively and efficiently is even more important.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
The company and I both personally hold a speciality C-54 Tile & Mosaic license in California, we have successfully passed both Law & Trade tests in the most difficult state to pass in. Additionally, we have experience as a General Contractor outside of the state which rounds us out nicely when encountering other trade specific issues.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
We come from a family of general contractors and a multitude of different tradesmen. Getting our hands dirty with tile came after multiple customer request for the install. With time it became an expertise of ours and naturally, we decided to go all in. Years later, we’ve now got a speciality license — that means we know tile like the back of our hand!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We’ve worked with general contractors, both residential and commercial clients, interior designers, architects, hotels, airbnb and your everyday Yelp/Google clients. We also are apart of Floor&Decors professional install team!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We accomplished a total bathroom remodel in less than 7 days. From Demo to Grout. This is something we’re extremely proud of! General was happy, client was ecstatic; this is why we do what we do! Great accomplishment by the team.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
There are many capable installers — some are simply great and others too good to be true. I advise any and all customers looking for tile installation to find out first if that contractor is C54 licensed, NOT General Licensed, as well as bonded and insured [like we are]. This protects you and your home in the instance of poor workmanship and gives your insurance no excuse to not cover you! It also lets you know that the people in your home are trustworthy experts in the specific trade of tile and not just “generals” who will wing it for a huge profit.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Style. Scope. Budget. Have a general idea of what you’re willing to spend, what color or styles you have in mind and in which room you’re interested in accomplishing this in. Having at least that on your notepad is a fantastic start to the project and makes things flow much easier.
