Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We do not come up with our own pricing. We use a third party software that determines the pricinng for us. We come up with the scope of work and from there pricing gets eextracted.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We first try to determine if it is an emergency situation. If it is we need to perform Emeregency Mitigation Services as soon as possible to limit the damages. If it is not an emergency and they have a claim with their insurance, we will Moisture Map, visualize the damages by putting blue tape in the affected areas and come up with a scope of work for the insurance to approve. We are preferred vendors by insurance companies and they trust that we can settle the estimate at the end of the job. If it is self pay, we prefer to write a preliminary estimate after inspection so the customer can approve the work. We also typically only write the mitigation/remediation estimate first before writing any repair estimates.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We are General B licensed company plus we have IICRC Certified Training which is the governing body when it comes to performing water damage, fire damage, mold remediation and specialty cleaning work. We also spent 3 weeks of uninterrupted training in our corporate offices in Tennessee plus we have an in house chemist that can help us with protocols if it is speciality cleaning that needs his assistance

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I had own water damage at home and I saw the process and I experienced what I wish would have had happened. The main thing we do with our company is we communicate and update our customers. We are fully staffed company and not a one man show. We are not the least expensive company to work with but we believe you get what you pay for.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We work with everyone that needs our help: - Seniors - Disability - Property Managers - Landlords - Homeowners - Residential Property - Commercial Property

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Educating our customers is what I am fond of. In the current state of the insurance market we try to limit the possiblity of filing a claim but explaining to customers what we can do to alleviate this. Although I would like to mention that some times filing a claim is the best option financially if the loss is too big. We will educate them in the claims handling process as well, a lot of customers haven't gone through this and a lot think it's an open check book and that it will be fast. Unfortunately due diligence by carriers takes time.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Don't just go for the least expensive, some times it works out but some times it doesn't. Make sure that they will back their work and explain the process to you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What is necessary and not ncecessary to perform I think is the best question to answer. Unfortunately a lot of companies send sales people to customers. We don't do that as we don't want to pressure our customers, we want to educate them so they can make the best informed decision.
