Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We offer a free phone consultation which allows us to better understand your unique needs and discuss any plans that you might have. Depending on the size of the project, the stage of the project and the timing of the project we do offer discounts. However our pricing will always be the most competitive in the market.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start with a phone consultation and then determine whether the project requires a site visit. Upon seeing the sight and discussing the specific needs we will then draw up an estimate that will include any and all construction, engineering and design as necessary.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Our team has advanced degrees from UC Berkeley. Montana State and University of San Francisco in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering and Construction Management. Combined, we have been helping owners around the Bay Area for 175 years We develop relationships with our customers so that they can understand their unique challenges and provide them with cost effective and long term solutions.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
We have been doing this work starting in the 1980s but have a long family tradition in the Bay Area in engineering and construction stretching back 175 years.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We work with homeowners, commercial property owners and corporations/small businesses.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We recently helped a homeowner pick up an additional 1200 sq feet of living space in his home free and clear of additional taxes. All while giving him a backyard that his kids can actually utilize.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Call us first. We constantly get calls from homeowners who got started on a project with a suspicious contractor or inexperienced engineer and end up getting violations or terrible work done. Don't get caught up in a nightmare by hiring someone who says they can do something they don't know how to.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Understand that doing work to your house, your foundation or anything else is a process. It requires multiple steps and multiple parties in order to get the project moving. Understand that it will take time but when you work with us you will get un matched customer service and honesty.
