What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

aedifex sets pricing based upon the average across Pinellas and surrounding counties. No price is set in stone. Being fair and equitable is essential. There is always room to negotiate. We always encourage our customers to "Name Their Price". This is something that eliminates the back/forth resulting in giving the customer a sense of ease allowing them to work within their budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We like to listen to the customers' needs more so than to tell them what we think they need. Communication is essential to getting the job done efficiently and effectively. We schedule a time to stop by the customers home to view the project. We listen, discuss and suggest.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

With over 15 years of experience working with construction, I've also acquired a residential and roofing contractors license and a 2 year degree in industrial engineering.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began by working on my own homes/ rentals. From there, I sought to self educate and to work with various contractors.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Recently, I tiled a master bath to include the shower. Though challenging due to its size and numerous cuts, I enjoyed the journey to the finished product.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

1. Please make sure you find a licensed contractor. 2. Make sure that they are accessible even outside of business hours in case of emergency. 3. If not licensed, ask for referrals in order to verify previous work experience. 4. Get estimate to include a time-frame for completion. 5. Don't give large down payments, perhaps break the project down into phases. Result: Work a little- Pay a little. This way both parties have a vested interest .

Consider the overall scope of your project, first and foremeost. Research costs associated with the job on-line. Have an idea of materials and labor required to complete the project. The professional should be able to itemize and simplify the process for you.
