What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing reflects professional-grade work, using only licensed and fully insured trades. Dan Perry Construction is a licensed general contractor, and every trade partner we work with is properly credentialed and insured. We don’t cut corners or compete by underpaying workers or engaging in illegal payroll practices—your project is 100% covered, above board, and done right. We’re competitive and fair because we manage efficiently, not unethically, and we believe peace of mind is part of what you’re paying for.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Dan Perry Construction, we start every project with a conversation to understand your goals, budget, and timeline. From there, we provide a clear, detailed estimate and walk you through our process—whether it's a custom home build, renovation, or storm repair. Once you're comfortable, we handle permitting, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination to keep your project on track. Our background in construction management ensures your experience is professional, organized, and stress-free from start to finish.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and have over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. I’ve been a licensed Construction Supervisor in Massachusetts for over 20 years and have spent more than 15 years in senior management roles, overseeing over a billion dollars’ worth of residential and commercial construction projects. Now as a licensed General Contractor in Florida, I bring that same level of expertise, professionalism, and leadership to every project I take on.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started working in construction at a young age alongside family in Massachusetts and quickly developed a passion for building and problem-solving. That hands-on experience drove me to earn a degree in Construction Management and pursue my contractor’s license. Over the years, I’ve managed everything from custom homes to large-scale commercial projects—always with a focus on quality, integrity, and client satisfaction. Construction has never just been a job for me—it’s been a lifelong career built from the ground up.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients across both residential and commercial sectors. This includes homeowners on small renovations and custom builds, business owners needing professional office spaces, and developers on full ground-up projects. I’ve also completed complex, end-user specific build-outs and life science facilities—both before and during COVID—where safety, precision, and timing were critical. Whether it's a home upgrade or a multi-million dollar commercial development, I bring the same level of professionalism and detail to every project.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Almost 20 years ago in MA, I helped rebuild a home for a family that had lost everything in a house fire. It was one of those projects that most people don't want.. They were devastated—not just by the loss of the house, but all the memories tied to it. I partnered with a local pro who worked closely with their insurance adjuster, and we walked the family through everything step by step. This was hard
They gave us old photos of their home, and we were able to recreate a lot of the details they loved—arched doorways, rosettes, some custom trim work, even a little breakfast area off the kitchen with a bench the kids sat at. It took about 6 months from permits to final walk-through, and I’ll never forget the look on their face. well, the look on mine when they were able to go home.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your homework. Make sure the contractor is licensed and fully insured—and that their subcontractors are too. Ask who’s actually doing the work, and don’t be afraid to request proof of credentials. Unfortunately, a lot of low bids come from cutting corners or using unlicensed labor, which puts you at risk. Look for someone who’s transparent, experienced, and willing to walk you through the process. The right contractor should care as much about protecting your investment as you do.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before reaching out, it helps to think through a few key things:
What’s your ideal budget and timeline?
Are there any must-have features or design elements?
Will you need help with permitting or design plans?
Are you living in the home during the work, or is it vacant?
Do you want a turn-key service, or are you planning to manage parts of the job yourself?
Having clear answers to these questions makes the process smoother and helps us give you the most accurate estimate and timeline right from the start.
