Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing is transparent and tailored to the scope of your home remodeling project. We offer free initial consultations to assess your needs and provide a detailed estimate. There are no hidden fees—everything is clearly outlined upfront. We also offer seasonal promotions and multi-room remodeling discounts. Project milestones typically structure payment to ensure you're satisfied every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Our process begins with a free consultation—either in-person or virtual—where we learn about your remodeling goals, timeline, and budget. Next, we conduct a walkthrough (if needed) to better understand the space and take measurements. After that, we deliver a detailed estimate and scope of work for your review. Once approved, we schedule the project, communicate timelines clearly, and keep you updated throughout. Our goal is a smooth, transparent experience from start to finish.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Our team has over 30 years of hands-on experience in water, mold, and storm damage restoration, as well as remodeling kitchens, bathrooms, and more. We’re trained in the latest industry standards and equipped with cutting-edge technology to ensure your home is restored safely and efficiently. Our knowledge of insurance procedures also helps streamline claims and minimize stress for homeowners.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
We worked for other companies for years before starting R Squared. Our passion for restoring and remodeling homes began with a desire to help people recover after unexpected property damage. After working with several contractors and seeing how stressful the restoration process could be for homeowners, we launched R Squared Restoration & Remodeling to offer a more transparent, supportive, and skilled approach. Over time, our work expanded from just damage restoration to full-scale home remodeling — helping clients not only rebuild but improve their living spaces.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We’ve worked with a diverse range of clients, including homeowners, landlords, real estate agents, and property managers. Our projects span single-family homes, multi-unit properties, and small commercial buildings. We frequently collaborate with major insurance companies to handle claims and have helped many clients navigate restoration after water, mold, or storm damage. Whether it's an urgent disaster recovery or a custom kitchen or bathroom remodel, we bring tailored solutions and expert service to every client.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One recent project we’re especially proud of involved restoring and remodeling a home that suffered significant water damage from a burst pipe. We handled the entire process—from working directly with the client’s insurance provider to the water mitigation, mold remediation, and a complete remodel of the kitchen and living room. The project took about 6 weeks from start to finish. The homeowners were thrilled with the transformation, and it was rewarding to help them feel at home again with a fresh, updated space.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Always verify that the contractor is licensed, insured, and experienced with both restoration and remodeling work. Ask about their process for working with insurance claims if damage is involved. Look at before-and-after photos of past projects and check online reviews to see what previous clients have said. Finally, make sure the company communicates clearly and provides a detailed written estimate—transparency is key to avoiding surprises down the line.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What is my overall budget and timeline? Knowing your financial limits and ideal completion date helps professionals give accurate estimates. What is the main goal of the project? Are you focused on restoring damage, updating the look, increasing functionality, or adding value for resale? Do I have inspiration photos or specific styles I like? Sharing visual references helps us understand your vision. Am I planning to file an insurance claim? If so, knowing your deductible and coverage can help us guide you through the claims process. Are there any specific materials, features, or brands I want to include or avoid? This ensures the project meets your expectations from the start.
