What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I am not cheap but not the most expensive. I do have the best value as far as the quality of work I deliver for price, compared to my competitors. If you’re just “price shopping” please don’t waste my time as I would not waste yours.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to meet in person and conduct an onsite estimate to learn more about the project and each other.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have carpenters union apprentice training. I have worked for a handful of companies locally and in Chicago. I have mentored and apprenticed under solid individuals.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started working for a big exterior company out of high school, mainly doing siding.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Customers with experience in renovation who know exactly what they want, as well as customers new to hiring contractors that need someone to educate them and handle the entire process.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently built a garage around a big compressor in a cob processing plant. I was very proud of how it turned out. It took me about two weeks

Do your homework, get multiple bids, the cheapest isn’t always the best.
