After designing for well over a decade, we have found that a simple process works best for our busy clients, giving them the best end result. We have a simple three step process, which allows our clients to sit back over the course of their project and trust our team to execute the design. Youtopia Designs an award winning interior design firm who works for prominent clients in the St. Louis area. Fueled by passion, Youtopia Designs is a human centered interior design firm that pioneers. We brought together smart, talented thinkers and unleashed their creativity on the world. We pride ourselves on our process, craft and attention to detail. We believe in the power of "What If?" by combining our expertise to help clients think beyond the ordinary. We're fully aware that we're rattling some cages but know the best work comes from it and the people behind it.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We make things simple, and I think that's why so many homeowners on Thumbtack hire us. Your first hour is free, and then we bid the project. You know upfront how much you will pay, even if it takes us 3x as many hours to complete. We bill half upfront, half on completion on most projects.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've always wanted to be a designer. I was re-arranging my room when I was a kid, and I've always been creative. It's just what I knew I would do for as long as I can remember!

What types of customers have you worked with?

The majority of work we do is residential, however we do take on commercial project! Both residential and commercial work is fun and exciting for us! Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We have been working alongside a couple local contractors lately to really design / build from the ground up. These blank slate projects are always exciting for us because we get to really be creative. Less boundaries really means more creative design ideas.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Interior Designers can save customers a lot of time because they know all the places to shop depending on a clients budget. We have a talent for putting all the pieces in a room together. A lot of people will get their room about 1/2 way to where they like it, after that they give up because it has cost them so much time and effort. We take all that work and do it for you. We provide a 3D rendering as well of what the room will look like so a client will ALWAYS know what their room is going to look like based on what we choose for them.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

We aren't here to pressure you into anything. There are pushy designers out there who want to charge you hundreds of dollars per hour AND markup furniture drastically above retail pricing. That's not us, nor is it the majority of designers out there.
