What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

An initial phone conversation discussing request, usually followed up by a quick quote or a request to visit location for purposes of verifying job request and give a more accurate quotation; plus to verify that HMS Pros and the client are comfortable working together.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

25+ years of Property Management and Maintenance repair. 10 years of Landscape design, maintenance and repair. 30 years of being family handyman. LOL 15 years home repair and preventative maintenance.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I took a childhood curiosity on how things work and developed my skills into maintenance repair, home renovations and Home/ Property Maintenance.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Residential, Commercial, Real estate management companies, Not for profits organizations, and the most LOVING my wife..... :) Ever hear the story " The cobblers kids didn't have shoes.." Well...... They(the Family) do have shoes, and electronics, and a beautiful home. But do you really need that 20th additional closet dear? Hey all I want is a TV in the bathroom, PLEEZE. LOL

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Safety first, Phone Interview first. Get estimates, and if not comfortable with the situation or not going as planned, end it ASAP don't prolong the situation.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

sometimes an Idea is all you have, so spent some time (and small resources) to discuss with professionals on your ideas, dreams and objectives. Most of all be comfortable with you choices. Believe in "Murphy's law" some people say he was "OPTIMISTIC". Anticipate the unexpected, don't ignore it, The contractor should build a bit of unknown into their project. Good luck in you endeavors.
