Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We charge by the day based on the job and work entailed. For example, (Purely Hypothetical) A small bathroom remodel would be estimated at 1000$ a day 3.5 days. Plus materials. If we finish before that you’re only billed for the time spent working, if we go over your not charged over the 3.5 days. Unless additional work was added or unforeseen circumstances outside the original scope came into play for example water damage that had to be repaired. If this was to happen the customer would be notified as soon as the issue was discovered and we would discuss the additional work and cost.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Meet with the customer to discuss the space and the expectations for the work done. Find out if there are any budget constraints and what can be done to work within those without sacrificing quality of work. Talk about questions concerns, anything that the customer could need help with, material selection, layout, design etc. Discuss our process and how the work would be done step by step. Our goal is to make the customer as comfortable as they can be with the project that is being done. And to meet all realistic expectations of the customer.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Educated in TCNA standards. (Tile Cousel of North America)

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I grew up doing remodel work with my father, it had always been something I was skilled at.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Have worked for many individual home owners, as well as commercial construction companies.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Know what your expectations are for the project you are wanting done, as well as any questions or concerns you might have. Please make the professional aware of any possible issues that could affect the completion of the job such as possible water damage, mold, structural issues. As this will get you a much clearer picture of the possible costs of the job versus a surprise after work has already begun. A budget in mind is a big help as well. Personally we try to be under budget of possible but it helps your contractor create realistic expectations for the budget constraints of the job.
