Introduction

My life has revolved around construction in many facets. Journey carpenter Seattle Local 131 and Tacoma Local 470, commercial diver Seattle Local 2396. I have built/remodeled a large variety of projects from simple repairs to full residential and commercial/industrial renovations and hirise. My reward is providing for my family and seeing the satisfaction of a great job reflected in my customers face.

Every job is unique and requires approaching it accordingly.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I try to accommodate the customer in every way. First we will find out when it is convenient for them to meet and set up a time to get together. Then we will determine what their needs are and decide upon the best course of action.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Union trained journeyman rough and finish carpenter. Professionally trained commercial diver- 8 years in the trade. Piledrivers, Divers Local 2396 Seattle. Salvage of the EXXON VALDEZ highlight of my term.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I grew up on the farm.....Self sufficiency comes with the lifestyle.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All economic and many different ethnicities.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Extensive kitchen and bath remodel in the Stadium district of Tacoma.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Plan ahead, order as much as possible ahead and verify that the materials are correct. Expect the unexpected. If you are doing an extensive remodel... watch The Money Pit, Tom Hanks and Shelly Long.
