Sparkling Homes has been the dream since the Founder, Michelle Allegrezza started cleaning in 1999. Michelle cleaned homes in the South Metro while studying for her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Minnesota. After graduation Michelle only cleaned on weekends to start a career in finance. She went back to school in 2012 to change into the health care field and started House Cleaning by Michelle, a sole proprietorship to fund her tuition.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Do we offer discounts? YES! Recurring clients receive a discount depending on how often their service is.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

It is all about your preference on whether you would like to meet your cleaning techs when they arrive at your home. You are free to be in your home while we clean or you are welcome to go about your day and we will ensure that everything is locked up before we leave.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Michelle, the owner and CEO cleaned for 18 years prior to founding Sparkling Homes. She is a member of Cleaning Business Fundamentals and Speed Cleaning for the Pros. She attends conferences and seminars to continually learn so she can train the cleaning techs in the most effective way.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Michelle started cleaning to pay her college tuition. After graduating from the University of Minnesota she has dreams of starting her own business. She started with a sole prop, House Cleaning by Michelle and in 2017 Sparkling Homes Cleaning Service, Inc was born!

What types of customers have you worked with?

We specialize in recurring cleanings but also do move out and one time cleanings.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Building the business is an ongoing project! I don't think it will ever be finished!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be sure to hire an insured and licensed company. The company may be more expensive per cleaning but you are completely covered if anything were to happen in your home which would end up costing way more if you hired an individual that is not set up correctly with the state as a business.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Not all houses are the same and the way people use their homes are not all the same. We like being set up for success by knowing the nuances of the client's home. Let us know that the floor in the entryway during the winter is important to you, the sink is never empty of dirty dishes so only clean it when it's empty, my child doesn't pick up their room when told so if the door is closed you do not want to go in there! Or the pup may be afraid of you but there are treats on the counter that you are welcome to bribe him with!
