Introduction

Happy day to you! My name is Britt Greenwood, and I founded Blue Jay Cleaning in 2016 in the Tulsa metro. Although new to Thumbtack, we have over 30,000 cleans completed as a company giving back precious time to many families, individuals, and businesses. Most of our clients come word of mouth, but we have skilled cleaning techs ready for the opportunity to serve your home. We believe in Having Integrity, Working Hard and Loving People. Our professional cleaning techs take pride in their work, and making your day better is their passion. Blue Jay is insured & hires highly vetted and trained W2 staff. Your home requires trust in us, and we don't take that lightly. In addition to recurring housecleaning, we shine in commercial office, salon, gym and post-construction cleaning. To note: ***We DO NOT clean properties that: have been smoked in, have an infestation, involve hoarding or need biohazard cleaning***

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We can do hourly cleaning! You can order a number of hours if you have a budget to stay withing. Our hourly cleans start at a minimum of 2 hours of cleaning at $100. Each additional hour is $50 more. We also have a great referral program where clients can earn discounts or free add-ons.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Our process includes: 1. Initial communication & making sure we are the right fit 2. Client approves estimate & signs client agreement 3. Schedule and execute clean

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I (Britt, owner), studied art at Oklahoma State University which doesn't mean much for running a company. 10 years of learning, making mistakes, self-education and bringing in my brilliant spouse, Matt, in 2020 allowed us to take Blue Jay to a new level of professionalism and scalability without losing customer focus.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I (Britt- the owner) got started trying to make extra money to pay for tee-ball and a family vacation back in 2015. Now, 30,000 cleans later, those same little ball players are driving cars and looking for colleges!!!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We work with residential homeowners, business owners and short-term rental owners. We love them all!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We just took on 10,000 square foot weekly residential clean in Oklahoma. By doing rotational cleaning, we are able to make sure the home is properly maintained each week within 6-8 hours of cleaning. I love how we were able to work with the homeowner to create a plan that was feasible for us both.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
1. Look for long-term experience. Many cleaners come and go to make a quick buck. 2. Listen to your gut. If you question their honesty or integrity, just pass 3. Lowest prices are a risk!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Am I reaching out to the right company or individual? These leads cost small businesses $10-50+ dollars a contact whether you communicate with them or not. Are you merely price shopping? Once again, these leads add up and can cost small businesses a lot of money. Make sure you are serious about hiring. Thumbtack shouldn't be used as a pricing tool for a curious mind.
