LILO’S KITCHEN… MOBILE FOOD CATERING Latina owned, family owned & ran catering & vending small business. Lilo’s Kitchen was founded in September 2020 by owners Norma and Leslie. We have catered for large corporate companies such as Google, Gilead, Uber, etc as well as some of the largest festivals including Foodieland, Treasure Fest, county fairs, etc. Private events are our fav though! Weddings, rehearsal dinners, bdays, divorce parties, engagement parties, you name if, we have done it! We offer mobile catering with our food truck. We also do vending events so let us know about your next festival/event! Who is Lilo you may ask? Besides being undeniably cute, he is owner Leslie’s son. He is the real boss! We specialized in Mexican food but specialize in beef birria aka shredded beef that has been slow cooked in flavorful broth, then shredded. We are known for our Beef Birria dishes: quesabirria tacos with consomé, ramen birria, birria grilled cheese, birria pizza,and much more! As a Latina family, we regularly get together and one thing that you can always count on is FOOD! Lots of it! One day, auntie Norma decided to make Birria Tacos with consome and BOOM… that was the beginning of something great. Owner, Leslie Munoz knew we had to share this amazing dish with everyone. We humbly started from auntie’s small kitchen and a Black and Decker grill. Thanks to our loyal customers, we quickly worked our way up in three short months to owning & operating a food truck. We started with one goal in mind: to share true authentic, homemade Latin American food with everyone, not just family. Born in Guatemala and married to her Mexican husband for over 30 years, owner Norma is a self-taught home chef who is a genius in the kitchen. She geniously mixes the perfect amount of spices and flavor into every recipe she makes. Bay Area native with strong Guatemalan roots, co-owner Leslie wears multiple hats: Manager, Accountant, HR, Marketing Manager, etc. We are grateful and humbled you are here, and we can't wait to share our kitchen with you! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing does not include tax, travel fee or gratuity (sales tax varies per city). Whatever food is left over will be served as seconds/thirds to your guests. Deposit is required. Pricing for Food truck: varies but to give you an idea: 16 $ per serving for groups 101 or more 18$ per serving for groups of 80-100 1264$ flat rate for a total of 79 servings Ask us about pricing for small groups. Pricing for Taquizas: 40 people minimum, 2 hours of service (tax and gratuity not included) Same as above ASK US ABOUT BUFFET STYLE CATERING!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Having client first check out to get as much information and understanding of who we are. Then, ******************************* and get better understanding of what they are looking for and how we can work together to meet their needs. Once we decide to move forward, we narrow down menu for event, payment, etc. Please note, base price Is subject to change depending on cost of supplies, etc.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Cook/chef is self-taught... genius at mixing the right amount of flavor to make every dish amazing. She regularly learns new recipes and tests them in the kitchen. Manager has a Master's degree in Business Administration, & a background in non-profit management, the hospitality and restaurant industry.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

We started in September 2020 selling food from home & catering for parties. We moved on to a new food truck in March of 2021 and have recently purchased our second (even bigger food truck) in 2023.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We catered for a 10th birthday party whose theme was all about K-pop. Guests came up to the food truck expecting to just order food at our window, but we had K-pop music videos playing on our 65 inch screen tv and purple LED lights flashing. Safe to say our clients, especially the 10 year old was so happy and in awe. It was like a party in the parking lot! We like to cater to our clients and make their events just a little more special with little details such as this :)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Limit menu to 3- 4 items for your event. Let us know of any vegeterian or vegan needs! Also, schedule your catering time at the time you’re guests will be there, not the time the party is scheduled to start (guests are almost always late which cuts your paid catering time). For example, if your party starts at four, schedule catering starting time at 4:30 or five when you know your guests will be there. If you want to stick to your budget and quote, make sure to give your guest some type of ticket so we can easily identify who is in your party as well as making sure everybody gets served at least once. Let us know what your budget is so we can work together to meet your needs as well as prepare accordingly.

How many people you are expecting at your event, will your venue allow outside vendors and have enough space/open space to accommodate a food truck, what permits do you need, is there vegan/vegeterian/ dietary restrictions.
