Introduction

I'm very passionate about what I do. Cooking isn't just a job for me. It's a way of living. Feeding someone is one of the most intimate things to happen between two human beings and I want to make sure that I'm providing the best product I possibly can. I have five years of restaurant experience in NYC and worked in Italy for three months as well as all the knowledge I gained from growing up cooking with my mom. I am essentially a millennial cook with old school techniques and principles. It's the best of all worlds. Being a private chef allows me the freedom to be creative that I didn't have when working in a restaurant. I love making food personal again and getting to talk directly with clients to discuss their needs and to create a beautiful menu together.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I have a general price point for every type of service (cocktail party, dinner party, on-going meal service) but it varies client by client depending on their needs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
International Culinary Center (Formerly the Italian Culinary Academy/French Culinary Institute)

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I've been cooking for as long as I can remember so going to culinary school and continuing to work in this field only seems natural.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be very honest and upfront about your budget. I can give you a thousand different options for menus but I can't do that unless I know what I'm working with. Also, be realistic. If expecting something like cheese just remember that good ingredients cost more money!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What is my budget? Am I willing to let a stranger in my kitchen/home? What types of cuisine and flavors do I really enjoy? Do I want a food delivery, food prepared and stored in my home, or food cooked fresh and plated for me?
