Introduction

With 40 years of culinary expertise, cooking isn’t just my profession—it’s my love language. I bring mindfulness to every dish, believing that true healing and happiness come from what we eat and how we digest it. At AmericanFYE, we go beyond just making meals; we craft experiences that nourish both body and soul. Whether you need a personal chef, meal prep, or catering, I ensure creativity, quality, and satisfaction in every bite.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We base our prices specifically on the need of our customer's event and the level of service they desire.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We love to have a phone or video interview with our customer as our first point of contact so we can gather information on the type of event that they want to host. We then can curate a personalized menu specifically for them and not a cookie-cutter menu that usually falls flat. We work with our clientele until we get the perfect feel for what they want!!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I've been cooking since 8 while living in the Deep South. I moved to the Philadelphia region in 2009 and received my ServSafe Manager and City of Philadelphia Health Dept. certifications in 2021—a US Personal Chef Association member since 2022.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
During the lockdown of the pandemic, I knew I wanted more than just what I was doing so my husband and I started talking about my passion of cooking and we came up with this idea.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
WE have worked with differing types of customers. We hosted a Holiday party of Steak & Lobster in the Philly suburbs, a Birthday Party in a Loft apartment in Brewerytown, A Meal Prep for a Single working woman , and are now planning a once-a-week sit down meal for a Penn Sorority House for the Fall semester.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Ask questions. Don't feel afraid to get what you envision. If they can't get to your vision of the even, move on AND at the same time don't get completely stuck on the price that you may feel is reasonable. We know the costs associated with these events. Food, labor, setup, transportation, all the little amenities that can come with it depending on the level of service desired.
