What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We try to take pricing out of the equation when we are speaking with a potential customer because it isnt always about the type of items or the variety offered. We can always alter the number of items or type of items to still give the customer the freshest ingredients and great customer service for their guests and maintain their budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We always like to spend a few minutes talking with a potential customer to find out exactly what type of experience they are looking for at their event. By taking this time it helps us with our goal which is to provide each customer and their guests with an experience they will remember when they are looking for a caterer for their next event.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We have over 30 years in the food and hospitality industry providing excellent product and customer service throughout the years on a corporate level. We decided to take our experience to the private level 6 years ago and it is evident by our reviews and referrals that we are continuing with the success we have always had.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I had a mentor from the day I was born in my father. My dad was a chef at the Barbizon Hotel for Women in NY when I was little and I remember him always talking about food. He later went into the deli business because it was something he had a passion for. I have always had a passion to cook which brought me to where I am doing this.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked with customers from every walk of life with the same goal in mind which is to provide excellent food made from scratch and the best customer service. Our goal is to provide our customer and their guests an experience they will remember and to make customers for life!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Our greatest projects arent always the biggest or the most elaborate. Our greatest projects usually end with our customer being completely satisfied with their event and remembering us when their next event comes or one of their friends or family members calls looking for a referral because they are having a party or event and need a caterer. That call is very gratifying because there is nothing that speaks louder about the type of job you are doing than a referral!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for reviews. Reviews can tell a lot about the quality, amount, and taste of the food you are looking for the company to provide.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Think about your event and what you are looking for at the event. Is food variety important? Is service most important? Try to let the caterer know what things are most important to you for your event to be memorable and to be exactly what you want for your family and guests. It takes people who love to make people smile after one taste to be successful in the food service business. People who cook from the heart and are only satisfied when their customers are pleased with the quality, quantity, and choice of food being served at their event.
