We will prepare the area to be painted, protect things that you don't want painted, and brush or roll on for a smooth clean finish. Our focus is on quality and your satisfaction is our commitment. Service Commitment Peacock Painting provides a service commitment with each project. If we don't meet the completion deadline, we will refund 10% due to the inconvenience. Completing work on time is a challenge. We put a fire under our feet to get it done on time.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Peacock Painting will provide accurate estimates for any work for to be done. These estimates will be signed off by you the customer. If there are changes, they will be repriced and a new estimate will be provided. Our crews will go over your estimate upon completion to make sure you are satisfied with the work. The term 'as agreed' applies to all projects.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Initially, Peacock Painting will evaluate the project. This can be done via a site visit, photos of the project, and or other available information to run specs on the job. An estimate is then submitted covering the scope of work to be done with an attached price. If there is a variation to the job, we will reserve the right to reprice. We will agree to the terms upfront on every project. We will then perform to those specifications.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

First job was as a painter back in, hold your breath, 1980. I worked professionally as a painter for much of my 20s. I worked on project budgeting and banking between then and now. I came back to painting because I feel it is a worthwhile service and I enjoy working with folks and getting things done.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Many years ago as a younger buck, I was a painter. Up on ladders, on lifts, spray guns. Loved it. Presently, I am better fitted at setting up jobs, working with clients, training crews , and completing projects. I hope to get a chance to meet you.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Our business is an evolving mix of interior and exterior painting of homes and businesses. There are still folks needing walls replaced and painted after the storm last fall. Real estate is hot. Folks are buying and selling homes and fixing them up. Otherwise, there are many who have to get the house painted this year or they will suffer more wood rot and damage. We hope to work with anyone who needs us.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We are completing a commercial business that had 16' ceilings and needed to be completed at night. We set up on site each night and then took everything down before they opened. This has been our most challenging project to date.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We provide a detailed estimate of each job. We will not change our price without a change in the scope of work. For instance, a customer may decide to paint the ceilings because they don't look as good now next to fresh paint. We provide all labor and materials. Overall, I would like a chance to talk about your project. We would love to be of service to you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The biggest factor is if we are painting inside or outside. In your home has many more variables to consider. Think of whatever area of the home you want painted as being unusable for a short time until we finish. If we need to sand, turn your central air unit off. Outdoor projects will generally need some planning with pets to keep them away from the paint.
