Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
For General Handyman Work I charge $100 for the First Hour of service and $50 for each additional hour (Not including materials), or I can quote a flat rate if the customer prefers. A lot of times I will offer a cap (maximum cost not to be exceeded) for a job. This gives the customer the security of knowing a max out of pocket. I accept Cash, Check or Zelle for payment.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
My ultimate goal is to please my customers by exceeding their expectations. I want to deliver quality work at fair prices with an exceptional customer service experience.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Im a graduate of Atlantic Technical College. I also have a Degree in Dental Hygiene and still practice a couple days a month just for my love of the industry :-)

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My Father was a General Contractor. I worked with and learned from him from the age of 12.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Pretty much everyone. Commerial and Residential Properties.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I restored a bedroom that was pretty much destroyed by a renter. I removed the nasty carpet and had to acid etch the concrete to get the stains and residues out. I got it prepped for vinyl peel and stick wood-look flooring which I installed. I replaced the broken blinds with new ones and replaced the broken ceiling fan. I also repaired the closet door.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
It's important to remember the old saying "You get what you pay for". The lowest quote isn't always the best quote. Your home is the single largest and most expensive investment you've made. Protect it by hiring professionals that are going to respect your property and treat you in a professional manner. Things don't always go to plan, parts don't always fit perfectly, and often times a job requires that little bit of extra finesse to be perfect. I make sure that the job is not rushed, and the end result is total customer satisfaction. I want to make sure that a repair or installation is done right the First time.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I feel that it's very important as a professional to clean up after yourself. To make sure that you leave a workspace as you found it. A Pro should have a Professional appearance, they should be clean and presentable and work clean in your home or business.
