Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
After an estimate we'll email you a quote, that quote is the final price for the job. We don't offer any discounts, and we don't charge any fees. The quote is our final price for the job.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
If you go to our website you can fill out a free estimate request form, and then we'll reach out to you and set up a time for a free estimate.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
All of our painters have a Paint Contractors Association training certification and go though our in house year long apprenticeship program.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I stumbled into it as a summer job after college, and developed a real love for the trade. My favorite thing is getting to see the expression on a homeowners face once they see the finished job.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We've worked with home owners, business owners, non profits, general contractors, designers, and property managers.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We spent about 9 months on a historic restoration project, and our favorite part was getting to to stain the trim package to match the original trim in the house from the 1890s.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
First, I would make sure they're insured and have their contractors certificate with the state. Second, I would make sure that you have good communication and get along well because that will become more and more important as the job gets going. Third I'd ask how many projects of this size they've taken on.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1) What are the things you dislike about the space right now that you're looking to change? 2) Are you more concerned with long term durability, aesthetics, or both? 3) Would you like a complementary color consultation? 4) What is the scope of the job? For interiors this could be walls, trim, ceiling, doors, kitchen cabinets, and damage repair. For exterior this could be siding, trim, doors, fence, shed, and deck.
