What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Most contractors look for those big houses with fancy cars out front just so they can jack their prices up and make more money from people who don’t they are being targeted. My prices are the same whether it is a $30,000 trailer home to a multimillion dollar mansion. I put my best price forward the first time so you don’t feel abused or not cared for.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We start out with the initial phone call where you can tell me what you are looking for and when you’d like to schedule your free estimate. I then come to your project where we will do a walk around and talk about your visions in more detail. I then will write up and estimate and show you right there and then. We can talk about edits and other options to make sure it fits your vision and budget.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am being mentored by 2 different people who have owned painting companies for over 30 years. I am also a part of a professional business program which helps me make sure I am doing whatever I can to help you, the customer, have the best experience ever.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was a truck driver for several years and wanted to be home with my family more than just once or twice a month. My uncle has owned his own painting business for over 30 years and helped me get started. I’ve learned a lot from his expertise and I can finally be home with my children.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I currently only work with residential home owners or landlords with small apartment buildings.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I had the privilege to work on an abandoned mansion and turn it from its ragged look to something brand new. There were about 20 rooms in total and it took about 2 months to complete.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If the contractor seems like they just want to sell the job and not take care of you, run away. I know when I’m over my head and I would rather under promise and over deliver. I want to make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for and if I’m not the one who can do it, I’ll make sure to tell you and help find someone who can.
