What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I have created design packages that keep design costs contained. After reviewing the scope of work for a project, I will put together a breakdown for my client that shows what package option works best for them, as well as, what they will get in that package.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to get to know my client. It is important that a client feels like they can communicate with their designer. I like to get information about how the space will be used, does it need to be multifunctional, are there two or more decision-makers for this project. If so, how do their styles work together? Together we work on a vision for the space that is both beautiful and functional and within the budgetary needs of the client.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Master of Science degree in Entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Architecture and Design with an emphasis in Sustainable Design. I have also trained and studied various types of decorative painting in Spain and Italy.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began as an artist. I painted large-scale murals in many homes and businesses. I found that I wanted to gain a better understanding of space, function, and every element of the design within it. I went on to study interior architecture and design.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Both Residential and commercial clients as well as other designers and artists.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I worked on an amazing project in Marrakech, Morocco, and had an opportunity to be immersed in the vibrant culture of the region. It took me about 10 days and was recently featured as one of the top 11 Most Beautiful rooms around the Globe in House and Garden Magazine.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find a designer you can communicate with who will take the time to understand your vision and help you make good design decisions.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

There is much more to being a designer than selecting paint and fabrics. We are trained much like architects.
