Our typical process for working with a new customer at Mountain Star Painting starts with an initial consultation, where we can provide a rough estimate based on pictures, square footage, or offer an on-site, free estimate for a more accurate quote. Once the estimate is agreed upon, we send an invoice and require a deposit to secure the booking. We then schedule the job at a convenient time for you and communicate closely throughout the project to ensure everything runs smoothly.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

At Mountain Star Painting, our team brings over 40 years of combined experience in interior and exterior painting, mural work, and world travel for custom stencil and art installations. We've undergone specialized training in troweling, faux finishing techniques such as plaster, gold leaf, stenciling, and foils. Our teams work has been featured in various magazines and home shows, showcasing our expertise and artistic craftsmanship. This extensive education and hands-on experience allows us to offer a wide range of high-quality, creative finishes for your home or business.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

At Mountain Star Painting, our journey started from different corners of the country but with a shared passion for craftsmanship. One of us began in Colorado, drawn to the creative and artistic side of painting, while the other grew up in Maine, learning the trade from their father, a professional painter. These early experiences sparked a love for the craft, and over the years, we honed our skills through various projects, eventually combining our talents to form a company dedicated to delivering exceptional painting and artistic services in the Carolina's and beyond.

At Mountain Star Painting, we’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of customers, including residential clients—both large and small—developers, interior designers, builders, construction teams, and building maintenance professionals. We've partnered with real estate developers, city planners, Kimpton hotels, yoga studios, pavilion owners in Morocco, DIY Network executives, 3M Painter's Tape executives, The Armory, celebrities, donut shops, families, and apartment complexes. No matter the size or scope, we bring the same dedication and quality to every project.
