At Mountain Star Painting, our journey started from different corners of the country but with a shared passion for craftsmanship. One of us began in Colorado, drawn to the creative and artistic side of painting, while the other grew up in Maine, learning the trade from their father, a professional painter. These early experiences sparked a love for the craft, and over the years, we honed our skills through various projects, eventually combining our talents to form a company dedicated to delivering exceptional painting and artistic services in the Carolina's and beyond.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When hiring a provider for painting or custom finishes, my advice is to look for a company with a proven track record of experience and creativity. Lastly, choose a team that listens to your ideas and communicates well. A strong relationship and clear understanding with your provider are key to getting the best results. But honestly, trust your gut instincts—you know who is the best fit for your project!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before talking to professionals, customers should think through a few key questions to ensure their project runs smoothly: What’s your vision? Have a clear idea of the style, colors, or finishes you want, and gather any inspiration images. What’s your budget? Know how much you’re willing to spend and be prepared to discuss any flexibility. What’s your timeline? Consider when you want the project completed and if there are any deadlines or special events coming up. What’s the scope of the work? Think about whether you need just painting or if there are repairs, prep work, or additional services like faux finishes involved. What’s important to you? Prioritize things like quality, efficiency, sustainability, or specific materials. These questions will help guide your conversation with the professionals and ensure you're both on the same page.
