Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our prices are flexible. Please keep in mind that sometimes we are quoting jobs, sight unseen, so prices in those instances may change. On the flip side, quotes submitted on projects that we physically visit, and involve replacing subflooring, Plywood on roofs, or drywall, may change if we encounter damaged roof trusses, floor joists, or wall studs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We will respect your property and your time! You will always be in the know about any issues that arise and how we plan on solving them. Communication is Key!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs and always had a hand in the family business. I've been involved in commercial cleaning for major retailers such as Barnes and Noble, Kool Smiles Dental, Imax movie theater, several Virginia Tech facilities, and Blacksburg Transit, to name a few. I love to be outside, so naturally, I have a passion for lawn care. Pressure washing and painting are probably the most gratifying types of labor, in my opinion.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with corporate businesses, elderly individuals, students who need a hand moving in and out of dorms, neighbors, and stripped and waxed floors for convenience store owners. I've worked with landlords, helping them perform evictions and rental turnovers. I've done property preservation for banks.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We had a lead in removing an old barn-style shed and replacing it with a newer one from Lowes. We told the customer that what they had was good, just needed some TLC. We made it new again and they saved a ton of money. It took us 3 days to complete the entire job. See our photo gallery!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I don't like the phrase, Jack of All Trades, but make sure that you are dealing with someone that is pretty well-rounded.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers should decide if the job that needs to be done requires a skilled professional or a licensed contractor. A bad mowing or sloppy paint job may not make you lose too much sleep at night, but a bad electrical job or incorrect plumbing job could cause them a lot of headaches!
