What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We price each job according to the scope of work, amount of pages, and design work needed. Most full websites we build for the contractors we work with range from $4900 and up. We also offer smaller landing-page type websites for specific campaigns starting at $2500

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We will take the time to learn about your business, service area, and goals for your website, and what you are looking to achieve, and put together a custom plan to help realize these goals. The more information gathered at the start, the better we are able to complete a project quickly. Most websites are completed within 4-6 weeks!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Bachelor's of Fine Art from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, with a minor in Graphic Design and Illustration, Google Ads Certification, With extensive experience in Logo Design and Branding services. Experienced in Wordpress website design, Wix, Weebly, Webflow, Squarespace, and more. I also have 9 years experience working as a professional photographer for weddings, portraits, real estate, and family photography.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began freelancing as an illustrator and graphic designer out of college, and after designing logos and flyers, many clients asked if I also could build them a website. My background in composition and visual design lended well towards creating websites, and I started Firetail in 2016 with a goal to create beautiful websites for clients that also served them well for their business. I also took courses in learning about lead generation, Search Engine Optimization, and Advertising, so I could bring as much value as possible to my clients. I now have a small team that is highly skilled and brings as much attention to detail to each project as I do, and we have created some incredible projects I am very proud of.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked primarily with Home Builders, Contractors and Remodelers, as that line of work has an important visual aspect when it comes to appealing to a customer - their website has to be very professional and attractive, and the potential customer has to be sold based on what they see. I have also created many websites for tree companies, fence contractors, deck builders, painting companies, repair services companies, event companies, rental businesses, moving companies, and landscapers.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

One of my favorite websites we recently designed was for a high-end builder on the seacoast region of New Hampshire. Their coastal style of building is very popular but they were not attracting the right type of clients. We designed a brand-new logo for Driftwood Builders ***************** and built a custom website that truly represented their level of work. They were incredibly pleased with the website, saying it was nicer than they ever imagined! This project took about 6 weeks to complete.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My advice is to be clear about your goals for your website, and also to try and find some examples of what you're looking for when it comes to websites as this can help expedite the process and avoid confusion. Also understand that you typically get what you pay for when it comes to website design work, and when you invest in your website it should become one of your biggest assets for your business for growth and longevity - so make sure you know what you want and are ready to make it count.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I always tell business owners that their website is not for them, but it is for the customer. Think of how your customer is seeing your business for the first time. How are they seeing your quality of service? Do you have professional photos of your work to show? How easy will it be for customers to learn about you and reach out? We make sure to go through all of these details before starting any project.
