If you're looking to hire an SEO professional, what is your goal in doing this (keyword rankings, increasing website traffic, lead generation, etc.)? That may sound obvious, but if you're simply looking for lead generation, SEO is just one lever an experienced marketer can pull. So you might find a great SEO specialist, but if they don't have experience with paid ads or other types of marketing, you could be creating a huge opportunity cost for yourself.
