How did you get started doing this type of work?
I wanted to make a measurable impact for my employers and our sales team. Social media and social selling are ideal because they allow for clear measurement and help build authority.
This results in inbound leads, business and revenue, in addition to awareness and stronger positioning.
I learned from the best people in the industry and taught myself some new tricks along the way. I developed a systematic approach to social media marketing/social selling that's based on aggressive growth, results, measurement and and continuous improvement.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently ran 6 workshops on social media for a large online-meeting company during their annual global sales kick-off. My task was to give the sales team training on how to set up and successfully run their social media accounts.
Another project for a customer that I love is for an organic spice company. Here, we develop the entire strategy, engage with influencers, and develop visually very attractive and beautiful content. We showcase different cuisines and how everyone create simple, yet beautiful dishes with delicious spices that are responsibly and organically farmed.
A third project is for a database company, where we develop highly specialized and technical content about the advantages (e.g. security, performance, consistency) of some databases. We use these attributes to showcase how customers benefit, how this impacts their business and why something as complex and as abstract as a database has direct impact on people.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone who

3) provides meaningful KPIs and understands how to measure results that are in line with your objectives
4) understands how to align your social media with your other marketing/business efforts
5) knows how to combine smart strategy with reliable tactical execution
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
1) What business result am I looking to achieve?
2) What is a realistic timeframe for me to achieve this result?
3) What do I consider a success?
4) How much do I understand about social media and what are my expectations about execution of the program? Do I want guidance or do I want it done my way?
5) Can I calculate ROI on this project? Hint: you can!
