What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I try my best to be flexible and work with budgets of many sizes. I shoot straight with my clients so I will be upfront about all the costs and you won't have to worry about any sneaky fees.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically I like to schedule a video call so we can get on the same page about your vision and see if we're the right fit! Then I'll send over a contract that outlines everything we talked about and ensures the deliverables, agreed upon price, and timeline. Then we're off to the races!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am self trained. However, I haven't gotten this far alone, and have had the privilege of working with several incredible mentors and other industry professionals throughout the years!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I got started through my love of filmmaking as a little kid. I grew up in a small arts town called Rosebud in Alberta Canada, and making movies was how my friends and I kept ourselves occupied. Pretty quickly I fell in love with it, and have been creating videos as long as I can remember!

Mostly I've worked with small business owners, restaurants, personal brands, wineries, couples, not for profits, and real estate brokerages. In the future I am branching out to going after larger and larger clients, but am always willing to

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Last year I completed my short film The Ride Home. It took me 1.5 years from start to finish (which is unusually long) because it was a passion project. I think fondly about that project because I made it while going through a time of transition in my life, and in many ways it served as an outlet through which I could process my thoughts. On top of that, I had a great team of collaborators and friends who supported me and helped my vision come to life.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would look for someone who seems interested in more than just your money. Being a videographer requires many hours of work and it's easy to take shortcuts. Finding someone who's invested in the project you're trying to make will ensure that it's done with their full effort and they may be willing to go above and beyond for you!
