unfold fold
Footprints Floors offers financing to their customers. Footprints Floors has a unique business model for hardwood flooring in Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, Pueblo and surrounding areas. It is one that eliminates most of the overhead of other hardwood floor providers. We can offer many select flooring options at our cost to you. We invite you to compare our products, quality and service to anyone else. We think you will be surprised at the Footprints Floors difference.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We like to meet the customer at their property to measure and discuss the best flooring choices. We will send an estimate to the customer quickly and competitively at no charge.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Several NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) completed courses & training.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have over 18 years experience in flooring. It started as side work while attending college for a Computer Science BS. I quickly learned that I liked working with my hands, meeting new people, and helping them with their vision and projects. I left the IT field altogether and switched lanes in college to study Business Management. I enjoy working with people and helping them make their remodel ideas become a reality.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Install, sand and finish new hardwood and existing hardwood. Stain new floors and old floors to match. Install new or refinish treads and risers on stairs. Help select and install new carpet. Install new laminate or vinyl plank floors. Natural stone and tile installation. Move furniture and appliances if needed. Remove/dispose of existing floor. Remove/return baseboards. Apply coatings of oil based or water based polyurethane finish.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Most hardwood "companies" are a small outfit usually consisting of one or two guys. Sometimes those companies are good, but far too often they're not and customers are left with either an unfinished product or inferior product...or no product in the worse scenarios. Footprints Floors gives a customer peace of mind that there is always someone watching over their job and ensuring a great finished product.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Does the contractor carry liability insurance? If not, you could be in for big troubles should anything go wrong with your project. Ask the contractor for a copy of their liability insurance. Be sure to check when the policy expires. It may even be worth a call to the agent/agency that insures them. That way you can be sure the policy is current and in good standing. Does the contractor use full-time employees, sporadic sub-contractors, or are they a hybrid that uses the same sub-contractors every week? Always check the BBB to see if a business is legitimate. They will not even show up if they haven't been in business for several years. A bad rating will also tell you if they are doing bad work.
