Introduction

Thumbtack Top Pro multiple years! I pride myself on the quality of work that I do. I have been doing home renovations and repairs since I was old enough to swing a hammer. Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I use homewyse calculators to get fair market values in your area for services. I typically quote prices on the low of range based on those calculations. For small jobs or composites of many small parts, I do an hourly rate.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I reach out to the customer to get a full and complete description of what they need done. I take time to prepare and return a fair and honest quote of time and cost.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I started doing renovations when I was 5 years old with my father. As I grew older I gained more and more skills as we renovated every inch of a 2400 sq ft farmhouse. I have applied my skills regularly to hone them and keep them sharp. I have assisted in many renovations, repairs, and house flipping.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
As previously stated, I started as a child and have developed a love for working with my hands and turning shabby into chic.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All types! Family, friends, members of my community and those in need. I have worked for Mel Trotter and Habitat for Humanity as a volunteer. I have worked for low income families and the wealthy alike.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently worked on a handicap accessible ramp for a local homeowner. Myself and a few friends worked together to get this ramp up to code and safe for the gentleman. He was able to stay living at his home as the result of this project.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Don't be fooled by extremely low prices or too good to be true deals. I am an honest and upright member of your community and I take joy in making things look better and enriching the lives of my customers.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What is the extent of your project? What is your time frame? What is your budget?
