What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

All flooring types have different price points.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The inquiry is initiated by someone who is looking for a flooring remodel, we have a quick chat to go over their desires and then we set up an appointment to meet at their home where I give them a quote. If they choose my services, we work out a payment plan and an instalation schedule that works for each party. I explain the process thouroughly and stay in contact throughout the installation.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have sold flooring to hundreds of homeowners throughout the DFW area

How did you get started doing this type of work?

We moved down to DFW to raise our son near family, when we bought a house we needed new flooring and during that process I found the industry intriguing. After getting settled, I began working for a flooring company. After enough experience and different opportunities presenting themselves, I opened GC Flooring pros to enhance the level of customer service and quality control given to my customers.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All types, anyone needing flooring from Developers, General Contractors, Landlords, Real Estate Agents, investors and homeowners. Homeowners are the most fun to work with because they get to see their creative ideas become reality in one of their most prized possessions.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am fond of any project where the customer is completely satisfied with thier purchase. Some projects are finished within a few days, others take a few weeks depending on the type of flooring.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The lowest price is not always the best choice. Have your contractor go over the process and product quality in detail with you. It will help you to see how experienced the contractor is and whether he/she is using first quality products. Labor is not taxed in Texas, so be sure your not charged the normal tax rate on top of the pretax invoice.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

- What flooring is down now? - What's the square footage? - Do your baseboards need to be removed? - What is the linear footage of those baseboards? - What is the linear footage of the area of one flooring transitioning into another? - What type of subfloor do you have? - What is your budget?
